Red & Black Raspberries
Photo @: Historic Fruit Images
Raspberries were one of the first European plants to be transplanted to the New World. There are
several wild species of raspberries and numerous cultivated varieties. All the wild species are native to the northern
temperate regions of Europe, Asia, and North America. Raspberries are a popular fruit during the early summer
months and can be made into excellent jam, jelly, and preserves.
