Forsythia is a spring-flowering, deciduous shrub, cultivated for its attractive yellow, bell-shaped flowers, which bloom in
the spring before the emergence of the leaves. Reaching a height of 1 to 3 m (3 to 10 ft), the forsythia grows best in
sunny locations in fertile, well-drained soils.
