Daisies

The daisy, a carpeting, slow-growing perennial, reaches a height of 15 to 20 cm (6 to 8 in). A composite flower, the single daisy is actually a cluster of minute flowers. The small flowers that make up the flower’s center are called disk florets. The petals are called ray florets, themselves flowers with five fused petals.
