Daddy Longlegs

The daddy longlegs, although resembling spiders, actually constitute a distinct group of arachnids, having segmented bodies and longer legs than spiders. Daddy longlegs feed on a variety of smaller insects and fallen fruit. They have been known to emit an odor when threatened, but they do not bite and are harmless to humans.
