Chimney Swift

  • Swifts are in the family Apodidae while Swallows are in the family Hirundinidae. The chimney swift is known for its ability to nest and roost inside tall chimneys. Agile fliers, the chimney swifts are able to detect and capture flying insects while on the wing.
