Song
The song sparrow is one of many species of North American sparrows belonging to the finch family. As the species name indicates, this bird sings frequently, sometimes as often as 300 times an hour. The song sparrow generally nests on the ground, where the female alone will incubate and care for her clutch of three to five eggs. It primarily eats seeds and insects.
