Ruffed Grouse Drum
A fairly common grouse, but the population varies. It likes to live in the woods. The Ruffed Grouse has two colour phases, gray and red, with a very remarkable tail that fans open. In mating season you can often hear in the woods, the drumming of the male bird trying to attract a mate.
