Standing out near the end of Long Point is this rare bird at a rare place in time. Although the quality of this particular photo may be in question, the moment cannot. This magnificent bird is rebounding off of the endangered species list by nesting programs across North America. The Peregrine finds nesting at rooftop levels in cities to it's liking. There it has a good food resource in pigeons and sparrows. It also is found on the coasts, mountains and woods. The Peregrin can be identified by it's facial pattern with black cheeks and cap. It is one of the fastest birds known.
