Hummingbird Call

A common hummingbird and the only one found in Long Point Country. Only the adult male has the bright red throat. It loves to drink nectar from tubular flowers. Sometimes one can be startled by a great hum, when they think a big bee is really close, while working in the garden. Seen above is a nesting female caught on camera on Long Point.
