The bobolink is known for its cheerful song. An omnivore, the bobolink eats insects, small animals, seeds, and fruit. One of 94 species of American blackbirds, the bobolink, Dolichonyx oryzivorus, migrates seasonally through the forests, wooded areas, marshes, and savannas of North, Central, and South America.
