After trimming away all loose material, and peeling back the surrounding leather, two slender steel pins were inserted into the exposed edge of the board to establish a foundation for a new corner.Then a mixture of adhesive and ground particles of binding board was gradually built up around the pins to form a new corner. |  |
After the area was thoroughly dry, a thin binding cloth was used to cover the area; and the surrounding leather restored. |  |
