Assigned to the Port Angeles Coast Guard Air Station, James L. Magnuson, Boatswain's Mate, Second Class, has been commended by Secretary of the Navy, James Forestal for aiding in the rescue of three Canadian flyers stranded on an ice-cap off Greenland. The Coastguardman is the son of Mrs. Nellie Magnuson, 4021 Eighth Ave. N.E.
