At a December 1996 board meeting, The Long Point World Biosphere Reserve Foundation, agreed to allow Richard Goodlet to develop an Internet project for their Biosphere Reserve. Evolving out of that project was a concept for a Long Point Country learning tool, "The Long Point Schoolhouse". This project was sponsored in part by the Long Point World Biosphere Reserve.
Many thanks to the following: The Long Point World Biosphere Reserve for their faith and support. Harry B. Barrett for his many archives and lore. Gary Walker for the use of his marvelous
Biosphere Poster. Mary Goodlet for her Cherry Valley Schoolhouse photo and John Kindurys for his
aerial photo of Long Point, which both now grace the home page of "The Long Point Schoolhouse". David Bowen at Environmental
Media Arts for training and software donations. Max Morrison for hardware and software
donations. Ian Richardson at Slick Designs for training and creative input. Casey White, Mike Boswell and Amanda Champion for their data processing. Don Backus, Clark Chernak and Sarah Nichol for for taking this project to "New Horizons". RWG
