Terry North

Born Terry Hayes of Simcoe, Ontario, Terry excelled in every thing he did from sports to music. Taken from us on April 26th, 1981, Terry left his legacy. His music started to mature with the band called the Mood, then on to the great acoustic band Cornerstore, which evolved into the country rock band Northshore. His comforting lyrics which are still heard at local shows and campfires, still hold him in our hearts.

Heavy Winds

by: Terry North

Heavy winds they dance and blow, cross my weary eyes

Looking up I see your face, deep in restless skies

For the love I have for you, I know will never die

Heavy winds I ask of you, don’t blow, my love on by

Can you bring our love together

Thats the way it has to be

Will you be just like the weather

Always changin’

Now the sun is breakin’ through, your standin’ next to me

Golden rays upon your face, make it so easy to see

Thoughts runnin’ through your mind, wonderin’ if this could be

I’m the one your lookin’ for, to live as one, happily

Can you bring our love together

Thats the way it has to be

Will you be just like the weather

Always changin’
