Domenic Troiano was the driving force behind one of Canada's best rock groups of the mid-1960s, Mandala. He first came to Canada from Italy at age fifteen and in 1961 started playing the guitar. He was first a member of Robbie Lane's The Disciples before he formed his first group, The Rogues. Elliot, Glan, Olliver and Chirowski were also in the group. In 1966 they changed their name to Mandala, and the following year they released their first hit single, Opportunity. The following year, George Olliver left to form his own group called George And The Children. He was replaced by Roy Kenner. The group added Prakash in 1969 as bass player and the group's name changed to Bush. Their only hit was I Can Hear You Calling in 1970. A year later they disbanded. When George And The Children broke up in 1968, Olliver formed a new band called Natural Gas in 1969. Their first single was All Powerful Man in 1970 from their self-titled debut album on the Firebird label. In 1973, Olliver went solo. His first hit single was I May Never Get To See You Again on Much Records.
